Michelle Lahey Reed is a litigation attorney with Schott, Bublitz & Engel, s.c. Her practice areas include defense of long-term care facilities, as well as general civil litigation. Her clients include long-term care providers, hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, physicians, nurses and other medical personnel, along with individuals and business entities.
Ms. Reed worked as an associate attorney at a large Michigan law firm where she concentrated her practice in medical malpractice defense, including birth trauma. She has given presentations to healthcare professionals regarding medical malpractice, medical record documentation issues and the role of expert witnesses in malpractice litigation. Ms. Reed is a past member of the Board of Directors for the Ingham County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section.
Ms. Reed was an Adjunct Professor at Lansing Community College from 2001-2007 where she instructed Introduction to Sociology. She was also on the Adjunct Faculty at Thomas M. Cooley Law School where she taught Introduction to Law. Ms. Reed also taught Business Law and Legal Ethics at Cleary University.
