Attorney Gerald LaBarge specializes in personal injury cases that include injuries resulting from car accidents, dog bites, slips and falls, and other injuries resulting from another person’s negligence. In addition to handling severe injury cases, he is passionate about representing clients in cases that may seem small in value and successfully obtaining a much larger settlement than expected. Attorney LaBarge also helps clients get the proper medical care whenever possible, and focuses on providing clear explanations and answering client questions so they are comfortable with and confident in how their case is being handled.

Valedictorian of his class at Loyal High School in Wisconsin, Attorney LaBarge graduated in pre-medicine and psychology from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He then attended Marquette University Law School, where he obtained his law degree and was admitted to the Wisconsin State Bar. He is also licensed to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin, the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
Attorney LaBarge’s memberships and professional associations include the Wisconsin State Bar, the Waukesha County Bar Association, the Wisconsin Association For Justice, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He is also a member of the International Legal Fraternity of Phi Delta Phi.
Attorney LaBarge recently obtained a dog bite settlement for a client that was so notable as to warrant publication in the Wisconsin Lawyer. He also successfully defended an assault and battery civil judgment by getting the judgment reversed on appeal. The case was selected for publication in the Wisconsin Supreme Court Reporter.
Jerry feels “privileged and proud” to be able to work with his wife, Karen Appel, and son, Ray, who are both lawyers at the firm. Like Karen and Ray, Jerry is a big sports fan, especially of the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers and the Wisconsin Badgers. He also enjoys fishing, golf and playing Sheepshead.
